	Affinity Business Systems is a company designed for one purpose: To provide easily affordable Web-based business applications for small businesses in the Annapolis, Maryland area.

	After speaking with many fellow entrepreneurs in the area, one theme was repeated over and again when the conversation turned to Web development or custom business applications - "I could never afford to have anyone custom build Web applications for my business. It's way too expensive". Intrigued by this, we began to study the Web companies in the area, specifically looking at their target customers (based on their portfolios), breadth of products and services, and cost of custom development.....and we began to understand why this perception is so rampant.

	The primary customer base for these service providers leans largely towards medium-sized, affluent companies who can afford the $100s of dollars for a few Web pages or the $1000s for dynamic (database interactive) content. It quickly became apparent why so many small businesses believed this.....it was true. Now, to be fair, there are some service providers who are offering dynamic tools such as shopping carts, appointment schedulers or calendar tools at reasonable prices. The main difference is that these are canned tools with very little allowance for integration into a customer's existing Web site or customization for customer needs. Any customization performed is, again, done at an extreme cost.

	Our goal at Affinity Business Systems is to cater to those Mom & Pop companies who are being priced out of the market and provide them with custom Web sites and dynamic applications that fit their business process. In this manner, we can help those companies bring in more customers and improve their overall service to existing customers, while not relieving them of their wallets.
